[ Back to Main FAQ Page ] - I have waterproofed with a bitumen product. What can I use to overcoat that to either enhance the appearance or waterproof capabilities of the product?
| - Vino-Seal is a poly-vinyl product that may be painted straight over any bitumen surface and further over coated with any water-based paint afterwards. It has fibre in the product to bridge any small gaps or cracks that may have appeared through weathering as well as strengthen the film. Very flexible and dries almost completely in under one hour. This product is ideal for most surfaces and if rain is imminent.
- Another option is to re-coat with a bitumen product like Super Laykold, by ABE, or Waterblok.
- There are also products like bituminous silver available to use as ground cover, covered by two coats of a high quality paint, eg. roofpaint or something similar.
