[ Back to Main FAQ Page ] - I have a mould problem in my bathroom from all the rain were getting. What is the easiest way to get rid of it and what should do to prevent it coming back?
| The easiest way to get rid of mould is by spraying a product called "Mould Stop" onto the surface. It will kill all the mould almost instantly. Preventing it from coming back depends on what type of paint you have on the walls and ceiling at the moment, or if it's tiled, the procedure is something else completely. Until we know what is on there i would recommend to leave the product on for the time being as it also prevents mould from coming back or alternatively you can wash it off and paint an anti-fungal wash onto the surface. To further prevent mould, let the room get as much air as possible. A word of warning though; the "Mould Stop" has some ammonia in it and will bleach so make sure that you don't get it on your clothes etc. The smell is pretty bad for a day or two too. |
