Gunnite: Drain the pool and allow to dry for two to three days.
Patch all holes with a one part fresh cement two parts fine builders sand mixed with Sabre Latex to obtain a stiff paste. Remove all loose plaster particles.
Remove all evidence of fungal growth with an Anti-fungal solution or chlorine before commencing.
Sandpaper the entire surface 60 grit sandpaper. Remove all loose dirt with a good quality soft bristled broom. Thoroughly clean down the entire pool with a clean cloth and A & A Thinners.
Apply a coat of A & A Swimming Pool Paint ( available in light blue, black or white) diluted 50% with A & A Thinners. Stir the paint thoroughly. Apply with a roller or block brush. Allow 12 hours to cure.
Apply another two undiluted coats, allowing 16 hours drying time between coats.
Allow the pool paint to cure for at least 7 days before filling the pool with water.
Clean hands and equipment with A & A Thinners or Lacquer Thinners.
Glass Fibre Lined Pools: Drain the pool and allow to stand for a day to dry.
Sandpaper the pool with 60 grit to obtain a dull matt finish.
Remove dust. Thoroughly clean down the entire pool with a clean cloth and A & A Thinners.
Apply two coats A & A Paint (available in light blue, black or white) with a roller or a good quality blockbrush. Allow 12 hours drying between coats.
Allow the pool paint to cure for at least 5 days.
Clean hands and equipment with A & A Thinners or Lacquer Thinners.
